The Canon EOS Elan II is an autofocus 35mm SLR capable of full autoexposure. It is a part of Canon's EOS family of cameras using the EF lens mount. It was originally marketed toward the advanced amateur and includes a number of enticing features. The EOS Elan II has the (what is now typical) Canon command dial allowing full manual, full program, or shutter and aperture priority metering. There are also various scene-specific autoexposure modes. The EOS Elan II has a built-in electronic pop-up flash, various metering patterns, electronic self-timer and remote control capability. The user can choose between two different drive modes, as well as AI Servo, AI Focus, or Single Shot modes. Flash exposure compensation, auto exposure bracketing and multiple exposure capabilities are also included.
The Canon EOS Elan II is the same camera as the Canon EOS Elan IIE but without the Eye Control feature.
This camera requires one 2CR5 battery.
